Why a CMS brings fixed maintenance costs

WordPress, Joomla and similar systems consist of software, themes and often dozens of extensions. Those components are constantly updated to close security holes and to keep everything working together properly.

Anyone who wants to keep a CMS site in good shape therefore ends up with an ongoing maintenance pattern — whether that runs through an agency or through your own time.

HTML only: no engine that needs oiling

A well-built static HTML site has no admin login, no database and no plug-ins that you have to update periodically to stay secure. As long as the design and content suit you, nothing needs to be “updated” to keep the site usable.

The technology is universal, so virtually any web developer can take over your site — there is no closed system around it that ties you to us or to a subscription.

We are happy to keep your site up to date, but you choose that because it works well for you, not because you have to. That freedom also keeps the costs fair.

Is this always the right choice?

Not every organisation is a good fit for static HTML. If you publish articles daily or need complex integrations, you are better off with a CMS — we then build on WordPress, for example, or we choose Joomlatogether. But for showcase websites, campaigns and many freelancer and SME sites, HTML is often the calmest and cheapest life cycle. In doubt? We will think along with you honestly — even if the answer is “CMS”.
