After delivery you pay no fixed maintenance as long as your content stays stable: only hosting and, if you wish, a change whenever you want one.
WordPress, Joomla and similar systems consist of software, themes and often dozens of extensions. Those components are constantly updated to close security holes and to stay compatible. Anyone who wants to keep a CMS site in good shape therefore ends up with a continuous maintenance pattern — whether that runs through an agency or through your own time.
A well-built static HTML site has no admin log-in, no database and no plug-ins that you have to update periodically to stay secure. As long as the design and the content suit you, nothing has to be “updated” to keep the site usable. That is the difference with a CMS: fewer moving parts, less risk, fewer recurring costs. There are two ways to change texts or photos with us: with a maintenance bundle (€ 379,- per year for 5 hours of work per year) or separately per hour (€ 80,-) whenever something needs doing. Do you have HTML knowledge yourself? Then you can also make simple changes in the source code. That way you pay no automatic monthly charge for work that is not there.
Fixed maintenance costs sometimes become a gilded cage: you keep paying because switching looks expensive or complicated. With an HTML website that does not apply. The technology is universal, so virtually any web builder can take over your site — there is no closed system around it that ties you to us or to a subscription. We are happy to keep your site up to date, but you choose that because it works well, not because you have to. That freedom also keeps the costs fair.

Static HTML does not suit every organisation: anyone who publishes articles daily or needs complex integrations is better off with a CMS — in that case we build, for example, on WordPress or Joomla. But for presentation websites, campaigns and many freelance and SME sites, HTML is often the calmest and cheapest life cycle. In doubt? We will think along honestly with you — even if the answer is “CMS”.
