publications on the work of René Girard
A study circle around the work of the French cultural philosopher René Girard — with publications, news and activities on the website for members and anyone interested.
An association-like audience with a specific subject focus: the site was allowed to be calm and archive-friendly, and deliberately not loud.

- For members & publicA distinction in access where useful.
- Calm typographyFits the scholarly character.
About this project
The Girard Studiekring is a Dutch-language circle around the work of the French cultural philosopher René Girard — known for his theories on mimetic desire, scapegoat mechanisms and violence in culture and religion.
For the circle we built a site that brings together publications, news and information about meetings. The scholarly nature of the group called for calm, readable typography and a structure in which the archive of publications is just as easy to reach as the current agenda.
Not everything is intended for the general public — some pieces are for members. The site makes that distinction where it makes sense, without unnecessarily hiding the public front end.
What we deliver
- Publication archive Contributions that are easy to find and read.
- Agenda & news An up-to-date overview for members and visitors.
- Calm typography Suitable for longer reading sessions.
- Member distinction Specific content for members where relevant.
Note: the text above describes the project as it stood at the moment the website was delivered. In the years since, a lot may have changed on a site; some of the projects shown here are also no longer managed by InnoDIGI. For the current picture, the live website is always leading.
