An association-like audience with a clear focus on content: the site was allowed to be calm and archive-friendly, and certainly not loud.

About this project
The Girard Studiekring is a Dutch-language circle around the work of the French cultural philosopher René Girard — known for his theories on mimetic desire, scapegoat mechanisms and violence in culture and religion.
For the circle we built a Joomla site where publications, news and information about meetings come together. The content-driven nature of the group called for calm, highly readable typography.
The archive of publications is just as easy to reach as the current agenda.
Not everything is meant for the general public: some pieces are for members. The site makes that distinction where it makes sense, without needlessly hiding the public front end.
